Common Questions
Can I use this device for continuous monitoring?
No. The PO3 is not designed for continuous monitoring. It will record a snapshot when the button is pressed or when it is removed from the finger. It does not record a continuous stream.
How do I turn it off my Pulse Oximeter?
The device will turn itself off after 8 seconds of inactivity.
My bluetooth light stays on and drains my battery.
Please note that the pulse oximeter will remain connected to your phone/tablet via Bluetooth as long as you stay on the measurement page in the MyVitals app, even if the app is only running in the background. This is to ensure seamless connection when you return to the app. To put the pulse oximeter to sleep, please simply tap the back button (<) in the top left corner of the app’s measurement page or exit the app completely.
What is the difference between and online and offline measurement?
An online measurement is a measurement made with the iHealth MyVitals app open on your smartphone and account. When you press the button or remove the device, a snapshot will be taken and recorded in your app log.
An offline measurement is a measurement made without the iHealth MyVitals app open on your smartphone and account. When you press the button or remove the device, a snapshot will be taken and recorded in your devices memory. The pulse oximeter can store up to 100 measurements. When the memory is full, any new measurements overwrite the oldest ones. All memory can be uploaded (synced) to the app upon the next connection.
Set the date and time
The date and time of the iHealth Air pulse oximeter (PO3) is automatically updated when you connect it to your smartphone.
The date and time needs to be set before the first use or whenever the batteries are fully discharged.
What can affect the accuracy of the measurement?
Why sync my data?
Taking a measurement is easy. It's what you do with the measurement that is important. You can use you iHealth device like a conventional (offline) monitor, but when you connect and synchronize your data with the free iHealth MyVitals app or the iGluco app, you can track, record, manage and share your results with your family or your doctor. Just download the iHealth MyVitals app or iGluco app on the App Store or Google Play and start monitoring your health.
Your iHealth account also gives you free access to a secure cloud space, so you can manage your data, track your trends and share your data. To do this, go to your secure cloud space and sign in to the same account that you use to sign in to the iHealth MyVitals or iGluco apps.
Can I take a measurement while the battery is charging?
No, it is not possible to take a measurement while the battery is charging.
Synchronization trouble
Make sure Bluetooth is activated on your smartphone and that you have followed the installation instructions for the iHealth Air (PO3).
If you let the oximeter battery discharge completely, you must reconnect it to your smartphone before taking new measurements in order to update the date and time. If you do not do this, the offline measurements that you have taken will be synchronised at an earlier date (e.g., 01/01/2023). This may explain why you do not see your latest measurements synchronized at the expected date.
No measurement displayed
Make sure that the battery of your oximeter is sufficiently charged.
Make sure that you have placed your finger correctly and that you stay as still as possible.
Nail polish, especially if it is dark, can interfere with the measurement's accuracy. Please observe the precautions for use.
