Setup Instructions
1. Installing the Battery
- Open the battery cover at the back of the meter.
- Insert two AAA batteries. Ensure they are inserted correctly according to the + (positive) and - (negative) marks in the battery compartment.
- Replace the battery cover back on the device.
2. Time and Date Setup
- Press and hold the Set button for 2 seconds to turn on the meter. A beeping sound will occur to confirm the device is on and in settings mode.
- The year display will flash. Press the Mem button to cycle through year values.
- Press the Set button to confirm and move on to the next setting. Continue setting the year, month, day, hour, and minute in this order.
3. Deleting Memory (Optional)
- After setting the time and date, the meter will automatically proceed to the memory deletion screen.
- When "dEL" is flashing and the "M" symbol is solid, press the Mem button to delete all stored memory.
- The meter will then display a flashing “---” and a solid "M" to indicate that all memory has been deleted.
- To skip memory deletion, press the Set button while “dEL” is flashing.
4. Alarm Settings (Optional)
- When “OFF/On” is flashing and the alarm clock
symbol is solid on the screen, press the Mem button to toggle between On and Off.
- Press the Set button to confirm the alarm setting when the flashing "On" and the alarm clock
appear.
- When the hour symbol is flashing, pressing the Mem button to cycle through the numbers then press the Set button to confirm.You can set up to 4 alarms. To skip the alarm setting, press the Set button.
- To turn off an alarm, press and hold the Set button for 2 seconds, then press the Mem button to change the alarm status from “On” to “OFF”. Use the Set button to confirm.
Precautions for Use
To reduce the chance of infection:
- Choose a clean, dry surface for testing.
- Never share a lancing device or lancet with others.
- Always use a new, sterile lancet.
- Always use a new test strip (designed for single use only).
- Avoid getting lotion, oils, dirt, or debris in or on the lancet or test strip.
Prepare the Lancing Device
Note: The lancet is for individual use only; Never share the meter or lancing device with anyone, including family members.
Prepare to Measure
- Wash your hands with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly.
(if you use an alcohol pad, ensure that the puncture site is completely dry prior to obtaining a sample) - Shake your hands to ensure blood flow to your fingertips
