- Restart your router/internet box. Make sure that your smartphone is properly connected to your home WiFi network.
- If you have configured MAC address filtering on your router, make sure that the scale's MAC address has been added to the list.
- Start the iHealth MyVitals app. Log in to your account and in your profile (MENU > Edit profile) check that your weight is within +/-3kg of the weight measured by the scale. Correct the weight in your profile if not.
- Return to MENU > Set up my devices > Select a new device > Scales > HS5.
- Open the battery compartment, remove and replace the batteries then press and hold the SET button until the "SET" message appears on the scale's screen.
- Click Next until you find your HS5 scale.
- Select your HS5 scale and press Connect a device.
- Enter your case sensitive WiFi password then press OK.
- The WiFi icon starts flashing on the scale. Once the WiFi connection is established, the WiFi icon will display steady and the message SET disappears and is replaced by 0.
- A user number (from 1 to 20) is assigned to you. You can find your user number by going to MENU > Set up my devices > HS5 (the scale must be connected to the app). Remember this number, as it will be used to identify you during offline measurements if several users registered on the scale have approximately the same weight (within +/-3kg).
- The scale will automatically download the information from your profile. This operation can take a few seconds.
- Place your bare feet on the 4 electrodes and wait a few seconds while the scale takes the measurement of your weight and body fat. The silhouette icon visible when displaying your body fat indicates that the scale has recognised a user.
- In the app, go to MENU > Weight and tap the synchronise button to view the results of the measurement.
The screen displays "----"
The scale can't detect the body impedance. Make sure your bare feet are correctly placed on the 4 electrodes.
If problem persists, try to make an online measurement being connected to your own iHealth account.
