What are Glucose Test Strips?
Glucose test strips are small, disposable strips that measure blood sugar levels. They are used with a blood glucose monitor
How do they work?
Test strips are more complicated than they look. Basically, the chemicals in the strip react with glucose to create an electric current. The electrons travel to the meter. The meter then determines how much glucose was required to generate that much electricity.
Can I use any brand test strips?
No. Each brand has its own test strips; unfortunately, a strip from one brand will not fit or work with a meter from another brand. Only use iHealth branded test strips with iHealth Glucose meters.
