Reading the test result
Please wait 15 minutes after adding the three drops to the test card before reading your test results.
Please read the result within 30 minutes of the 15 minute wait for results.
First, confirm that there is a C line, without the C line the test should be considered invalid and a retest should be performed.
This is known as the "control line" and indicates that the test is working correctly.
Next, look very carefully for a T line as it may be very faint.
Any T line that appears, however faint, is an indication of a positive test result.
If there is no T line then your test is negative.
Line color
The color of the lines that show up on the test card can vary.
The color of the line should be a shade of magenta or purple.
The shade of the line can be anything from very dark and almost black to very faint almost white.
The only consideration should be the presence of the line.
Do not make any assumptions based on how dark or faint the line is.
- This is because line color and intensity is highly subjective and is not an accurate indicator of viral load
- Many factors may affect the line color and intensity including humidity, temperature, light when viewing the test card, and manufacturing imperfections.
